Important disclosures — KiwiSaver adviceShow ▾

Tim Becker (FSP 1000498) provides regulated financial advice on behalf of Navigate Financial Limited, a licensed Financial Advice Provider.

Providers & advice type

Providers I work with: Generate, Milford, Booster, Pathfinder, InvestNow, Fisher Funds and Kernel.

I can't give advice on legal or estate planning (e.g. wills, trusts, contracts) or general insurance. You will need to consult an appropriate specialist for advice on those.

Commissions and incentives

If you become a member of the recommended KiwiSaver Scheme:

  • You will pay fees in connection with your membership. These fees are set out in the relevant Product Disclosure Statement & Statement of Advice document.
  • I receive commission for introducing you and for advice provided — up to $300 on joining the Scheme (depending on the size of your contributions within the first 12 months), and an ongoing amount no greater than 0.20% per annum of your account balance. We pay these costs from the revenue we receive from the fees you pay us.
  • I may from time to time receive non-monetary benefits such as promotional or Christmas gifts and industry or social invitations.

Conflicts of interest

I prioritise your interests by following an advice process that considers your circumstances and goals, and research suitable products and providers to ensure the advice meets your needs. I undergo annual training on managing conflicts of interest and record any conflicts in a register we review and manage. Navigate Financial Limited is subject to a yearly audit and compliance reviews.

Fees or expenses

I may charge you a fee if you decide to take my advice, of no more than 0.3% of your annual account balance. The provider may pay us a commission if you decide to take up our advice regarding your KiwiSaver.

Reliability history

A reliability event is something that may materially influence your decision on seeking advice from Navigate Financial Limited or from Tim Becker — for example, legal proceedings or a bankruptcy in the last four years. Neither Navigate Financial Limited nor Tim Becker has been subject to a reliability event.

Where we collect your personal information from someone other than you, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, including the purpose of collection, the intended recipients, the name and address of the agency collecting and holding the information, whether the collection is required by law, and your right to access and request correction of that information, unless an exception applies under the Privacy Act 2020.
